On April 10, Gayle Sanders, a renowned designer-conductor and co-founder of MartinLogan, Ltd., headquartered in Lawrence, Kansas, USA, announced the launch of a new company for the development and production of Hi-End acoustics, Gayle Sanders Eikon (Eikon Audio). Eikon Audio debuted at the largest audio show in North America, AXPONA (Audio Expo North America), from April 13 to 15, held at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center Schaumburg in Schaumburg, Illinois with his first product, an active loudspeaker system featuring “the latest generation of amplification technology directly coupled to the drivers for extremely low distortion levels.”

After four years of prototyping new loudspeakers in his garage, Sanders perfected the industrial design of the loudspeaker and created the Eikon, which was already demonstrated at AXPONA from April 13-15 this year. Commenting on his long journey to Eikon Audio and the first Eikon product, Sanders noted, “I took some new DSP technology that has improved significantly in the last few years and combined it with my own engineering. It’s an ideal solution designed to work in perfect harmony with any environment, and until recently, it wasn’t ready for prime time.”
